Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 May 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information CaloriesCount (“we”, “us”) handles when you use our mobile app and website, and the choices you have. We've built CaloriesCount to need as little of your data as possible.
Information you provide
To personalize your goals, you may enter profile details such as age, sex, height, weight and activity level, and you create a food diary by logging meals. This content is stored in your own private account and synced across your devices.
How your diary is stored
Your diary and goals are kept within your personal account and sync across your devices. We do not have access to the contents of that account and cannot read your diary.
Nutrition look-ups
To turn a described food into nutrition values, the app sends only the food name and portion (for example, “scrambled egg, 2 large”) to our nutrition service. These requests are cached to stay fast and are not linked to your identity.
What we do not do
- We do not use third-party advertising or tracking technologies in the app.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not build advertising profiles about you.
Analytics & diagnostics
We may use privacy-respecting, aggregated diagnostics to understand crashes and improve reliability. These do not identify you and are not used for advertising.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your information. Because your diary lives in your own account, you can delete it at any time from within the app. For other requests, contact us using the details below.
Children
CaloriesCount is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
